Short Biography

Nabila Ramdani is a Paris-born freelance journalist of Algerian descent who specialises in French politics, Islamic affairs, and the Arab World.

She writes columns for The Guardian, The Observer, The Independent, London Evening Standard, and New Statesman.

Nabila also produces features and news stories for a wide range of other Fleet Street publications, including the Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph, Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, and Sunday Times.

She contributes to a variety of Middle Eastern outlets, including The National, Gulf News, Daily News Egypt, Al Jazeera.Net, and The Majalla magazine.

Her work also appears in French newspapers like Le Parisien, Marianne, L’Express, Le Monde, and Le Figaro.

Nabila is an authoritative commentator for the BBC’s Woman’s Hour, Today programme, You and Yours, PM, and Newsnight, Al Jazeera’s Inside Story, France Inter, France Télévisions, Canal +, and the Sky News Press Preview.

Nabila has been honoured with the title Young Global Leader 2012 by the World Economic Forum.

She is a board member of the Franco-British Council.
